New fulldome theater TELEPORT360 opens in Kyiv

December 2016
Kyiv, Ukraine

New Vision Production and Front Pictures have teamed up to transform a Soviet-era architectural monument in Kyiv into a state-of-the-art fulldome theater and unique entertainment, educational, and event center called TELEPORT360.

TELEPORT360 is located one of the pavilions of Ukraine’s National Expocenter, also known as VDNG. The complex’s history dates back to 1952. Its construction took six years and required the efforts of the best Soviet architects and artists. Six decades after its opening, VDNG’s monumental spirit of a bygone epoch is getting mixed with innovative projects and cutting-edge technologies.

TELEPORT360’s fulldome auditorium is nestled in the center of the round columned building of Pavilion #10. It is equipped with 8 HD projectors and an 11m negative pressure dome. To provide each audience member with a perfect view, the screen is tilted at an angle of 10 degrees, and the 50 seats are arranged in half circles.

The fulldome theater screens the best educational and entertaining fulldome shows from the world’s leading production studios. The auditorium can also work as a platform for immersive concerts, presentations, lectures, and even games. This is possible thanks to the proprietary fulldome apps installed by Front Pictures — a music visualizer Meduza360™, slide presentation tool Presenter360™, 3D space simulator SpaceTime360™, and the professional media server Screenberry™360.

The gallery around the auditorium serves as an artistic media space for interactive quests and workshops for both children and adults. There is also a cafe and space for installations, exhibitions, a game zone, and a gift shop.
