Spaceport Science Museum in Liverpool upgrades to a 4K fulldome system

British studio NSC Creative has installed a fulldome system powered by Front Pictures technology at the Spaceport science museum in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

Spaceport is an attraction which takes visitors on an inspirational journey through space, as they walk through several themed galleries, all of which feature a large variety of interactive hands-on exhibits and audio visual experiences.

The FP HDx8 4K projection system replaced a previous fulldome installation in the 9m Spacedome planetarium. The system features eight BenQ projectors which run on a single dome server.

The new solution significantly boosted image quality at the fulldome theater. Now, Spaceport’s visitors can enjoy immersive shows in 4K resolution.
